Your child's data, in plain English
Nimbo Study is used by children, so this page is written to the standard of the UK ICO Children's Code: minimal data, no tracking, and nothing collected that the product does not visibly need.
The short version
We store your email address, your child's first name and year group, and the practice questions they answer. We run no analytics trackers, set no third-party cookies (which is why there is no cookie banner), and never sell or share data. You can delete everything, permanently, from the parent view at any time.
What we collect
- From you: the email address of the Google account you sign in with. Nothing else — we never see your password.
- About your child: the first name and year group you enter, and their practice record — which questions they answered, their attempts, and which hints were shown. We deliberately do not ask for gender, date of birth, school, or photographs.
- Payments: handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's pages. Card details never touch our servers.
What we do with it
The practice record exists to choose the next question well and to show you honest evidence of what your child has worked on. It is not used for advertising, profiling beyond the practice itself, or comparison with other children — the product has no code path for comparative claims.
What we never do
- No advertising or analytics trackers, on any page — child or parent.
- No third-party cookies. Our single cookie keeps you signed in.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data.
- No marketing to children, and no commercial content on any page a child uses.
Where it lives, and for how long
Data is stored in our own database in the UK/EU and backed up daily. It stays until you delete it: removing a child profile erases their entire practice record, and deleting your account erases everything, immediately and permanently — both from the parent view, no email required.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, or erase your family's data. Deletion is built into the product; for anything else, or any question, write to support@nimbostudy.co.uk and a human will answer.
